"Scrappy was one of my three favorite dogs of all time. He was very people friendly and loved playing the spring pole. A spring pole is a strong spring (like a garage door spring) hanging from a tree or some type of post. Most Pit Bulls love playing Tug-o-War with the spring. Like a treadmill, some people wrongly assume it is used to train for dog fighting. While this is true, there are many people such as myself who would never fight their dog; but use the spring pole as a means for the dog to enjoy recreation, burn off excess energy and stay healthy." read more...

 Rules of the Forum
« Thread Started on Jan 8, 2008, 1:23am »

Please follow these simple rules to keep the forum functioning properly...

1. No name calling allowed! Please keep things mature and civil

2. If a debate starts in one thread, keep it in THAT thread.

3. Words are NOT censored but this does not mean you're allowed to swear like a trucker. Please keep in mind there may be younger eyes viewing what you write! If you abuse this right, swear words WILL be censored and you will be warned.

4. Please create topics in the correct category. If you are unsure what category to place your topic under, put it in a general bored and if I see fit I will move it to the correct category.

5. No SPAMing. This means no advertising of products, websites etc. unless otherwise allowed to do so.

6. No unauthorized advertising. This means creating posts describing a product or service with a link to how to purchase it or having a link to any website that is selling products or services in your signature. The only exception for this rule is in the Reviewing board, and in the event someone appears to be solely advertising in the review board (rather than writing their own personal review of a product or service) that post will be deleted. If you violate this rule you will have your post/link etc. deleted, and you will be given a warning. If you would like to authorize an advertisement in a post or your signature, please PM the Admin first stating why you would like to post about such product/service as well as attaching a link to any website you wish to post. It will then be looked over and you will receive a reply regarding whether or not it is okay to post the link/information you are requesting to post.

7. No posting personal information about other members unless allowed to do so.

8. No TROLLing. This means if you are here just to pick a fight or cause havoc, you WILL be deleted from the board without any warnings.

9. Please keep posting pictures to a minimum in one thread. This is out of courtesy of members who may be on a Dial Up connection. If you feel the need to post more than 5 pictures, give a warning in the subject please!

10. NO HOLIER THAN THOU ATTITUDES! This is very important. If someone is doing or saying something you don't agree with, please try to keep it civil and MATURE. Everyone is considered equal. Most often a reason for someone doing something in a way that is considered not propper dog ownership, it is done out of ignorence. Knocking them down will NOT make them change their ways. Instead, try EDUCATING them. This is the number one goal of Dog Gone Good Training Forum; education. If you are caught belittling someone rather than trying to help them, you will be given a warning and delt with as seen fit.

11. No condoning animal abuse of ANY kind. This should be a no-brainer people! If you're here it should be because of your love for dogs. Those caught condoning such acts will be removed from the forum and reported to the proper authorities.

I would rather have a few, good, civil members, than a hundred members who are rude and out of control. ;)

Dog Gone Good Training Forum has a Three Strikes and You're Out Policy if you are caught violating any of these rules...

Strike One: A warning will be sent to you via PM or E-mail.
Strike Two: Your account will be suspended for a period of time depending on the severity of the situation.
Strike Three: You will be banned from the forum.

This policy depends on the severity of the crime. Depending on what you have done, you may not get a warning or suspension, and go straight to banned.

If you are given a Strike One warning, you will see a "warning level" in your Profile information as seen below; most people do not receive a warning past level 1, as level two usually results in a suspension or banning. There will also be an Account Note which will tell you what the warning given was for.

How does one have a warning removed?
If you wish to have your warning level removed, you will have to do one simple task: participate on the forum for 3 weeks time without violating any of the above rules. After three weeks of no violations your warning will be removed.
