What's the best food to prevent dog obesity?

For a couple of past few months my Labrador is starting to get overweight. I want to prevent further weight gain in future. I was suggested by a friend to feed him only dry dog food. I searched online and found tons of dry dog foods available in the market. I also found discounts on top dry dog food brands at www.dealrocker.com. Can anyone recommend me the best brand for fast result?

Exercise and lessening food are the best way to prevent and treat dog obesity. Dog diet pills or other products are not recommended.
