I've FINALLY gotten around to setting up an online training blog. My intentions are to be able to keep track of how my dogs are doing in their training Here's the link, if you're interested in taking a look at it. Nothing really interesting on it yet, but I'm sure there will be I'll probably put a link to it in the main information box later as well to quickly access it. doggonegood.livejournal.com/

Oh yes, they're quite entertaining I'm thinking I might have to start tying up Linkin, or force myself to make time to boundary train him properlly (I've only done a few lessons with him on it)... I work with my neighbor and she told me this morning he was in her yard chasing moose this morning

Boundery, (sp) and perimeter training is what you want. Rex still doesn't want to do this either. Summer is the best time for us humans to work with our canines.

Yeah, the summer time it's deffinatly easier. I have to spend a day every spring and fall with Coal as a frefresher because the snow seems to kina screw him up and he forgets where the boundry is!

I made a new post last night and when I went to add a video of Coal on the last post it totally messed up. I have no idea HOW even... it deleted everything I wrote in my last post and put the video in the FIRST post Stupid LiveJournal

What a wonderful video! ;D I would have not been as patient with Linkin if I had messed my knees, maybe that is why, we have leashes after dark. I can't wait for nice weather!!!

Thanks!
I'm some-what use to stuff like that happening. I've had bummed knees since I was about 8 or 9 and have always worked with dogs so sometimes stuff like that happens and I've learned it's important to put my dog first and make sure he's safe (including not ruining his training!) before giving myself the attention needed lol

Linkin did great with the Roll-over. I couldn't see your hand movements in the video though, I am going to try this first, with Baby, and see what happens from there. I know I have a book somewhere, with pictures on how it should look with hand movements, I'll let you know.

Yeah, sorry the video is so dark I'll have to try and get another one this weekend when I can take it when it's light out; if dad brings his camera home that is. I basically make a circular motion over their head in the direction I want them to roll.

I've been trying since yesterday to figure out how to put my journal to default for anonymous comments and I can't seem to find the option anywhere!! My other journal isn't like that, and I don't remember setting this one like that... so I'm thinking it was a default for the layout I got for it, but I looked everywhere in the thing to customize the layout and can't seem to find the option about who can comment
