Today I took her to the vet for a nail trim and Anal glands. She threw the biggest fit I'd ever seen. I always walk her to the door to the back room and hand her off to the techs. Not today. She started bucking, twisting, and thrashing around. Got her muzzle off, tried biting me, and the tech. Finally got her to the back after 4 performences of her "Bronco" routine. Next thing I know I hear her in the back having another melt down. I was so embrassed. Whut is with this dog! She's been soooo good at the vets lately. But today was a blast from the past. Any ideas?

I don't want to jump to any conclusions but my first though is - her last visit was there a new employee working at the clinic?
How did the visit go? Did she get a clean bill of health?
Also it could have been something she could smell/sense. Dogs are much more intune with thier environment than we are... there could have been a dog there that was stressed out or had to go through surgery or something like that and she smelled/sensed it and it made HER nervous.

We were the only ones in the waiting room at the time And yes there's a new tech she doesn't know.. And I wonder if Sassy sensed that she was sorta hestient about getting her. There's one tech that Sassy loves and she usally handles her. ANd she wasn't there that day.

That could be it... Just because no one was in the waiting room doesn't mean there was no dogs/cats in the back Have you ever smelled stressed dog? It stinks! I'm sure dogs pick up on it a lot easier than people too.

I hope that Sassy was fine once she got home? If I were you, I would take her for quick visits to the vets office, just to maybe weigh her, and get a treat. So next time that you actually have to go for something, she is more calm.
Did this with Rex and now he just loves going in the vets.

Try and make it as pleasent as an experience as possible and teach her it's not so bad

Could be. From my experience dogs have fairly good memories, especially for something that was tramatic or impacted them in some way.
