Has anyone ever heard of the Tamaskan Dog? I just discovered them last night and I think I'm in love! They are just GORGOUS! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamaskan_dogThey are bred to LOOK like wolves, though enthusiasts claim that there is no wolf actually in them, like most of the breeds that look like wolves. Even without the looks (which I'm extremely partial too), they seem to have the temperment and behavior I look for in a dog. I know it will be YEARS yet before I get another dog, but I think this may be a breed I'll have to look into... although by the looks of things they're extremely rare in Canada, though seem to be somewhat popular in the States.

Our debate about wolf-dog hybrids got you interested in an alternative, huh?

Haha, not quite actually... someone was asking about northern breeds of dogs that would suit their home on another forum and someone suggested the Tamaskan Dog... having never heard of it before I was curious, and the more I looked the more I liked them. I am kind of wary of the fact that they're such a new breed though... new isn't always good when it comes to dog breeds But... by the time I can actually add another dog to the household they'll be much older lol I am partial to the wolf look though... I've always been drawn to wolves. Something about them feels like it touches my soul ;D At least the Tamaskan doesn't have any ACTUAL wolf in them... otherwise I would be turned away. While I absolutely love wolves, I would never want the responsibility of owning one, or a wolf dog
