I have a question regarding a behavior my girl Ginger does when I am doing my floor workouts. She comes over, licks my face then lies her neck over my face so I can't breathe. She does this in a rubbing motion as if she is trying to sent me. I don't understand this behavior. Does anyone know what it means? Should I discourage the behavior?

If you like what she is doing, don't discourage it. If not, have her stop. She may think that she is somehow helping you!

You can discourage it, but it doesn't mean you have to. Only if she is seriously constricting your breathing or bothering you in some way. Dogs are pack animals, incredibly social. Linkin is constantly trying to lay on top of me, rubs his face on mine, gives kisses etc. Coal is very lovey as well but not in such an overbearing way as Linkin is, he doesn't get right in your bubble without permision I would say just teach her some boundaries. Teach her there is a time and place for snuggles and during your work out isn't one of them! ;D Basically she sees you on the floor as fair game. You're down on her level and to her that means you're there FOR her It's just a matter of teaching her a no and a yes term for when it is acceptable and when it isn't
