This may sound like sarcasim but Im serious. Do you think that like children, dogs sometimes act up to get attention.

You bet your butt they do. Dogs seek attention, whether it's good or bad. This especially applies to dogs that are mentally unstable in some way. Dogs that left their mum too early or had bad experiences during the fear stages while it was a puppy. Linkin is one of those dogs. He seems to ALWAYS be getting into trouble and he's CONSTANTLY bugging me for attention. He laps up all attention; good OR bad. I really need to ge a video sometime of what an attention seeker he is... he'll be pacing and crying (part of his attention seeking behavior) and then as soon as I reach my hand out he RUSHES over and pushes his head into my hand. If I slowly pull my hand away he'll stop, look at me, then head butt my hand again and move closer

KT purposely does things he knows makes me mad like aggravating Edge through the crate. It isnt so much trying to start a fight as it is getting Edge to bark to get on my nerves. Jewel is a handful to but she is a puppy. She gets things off of shelves if you arent looking. She got my picture several times and was carrying it around in the frame. Both Jewel and Kryptonite got ahold of four ceramic elephants off of shelves and chewed them up. Thank God they didnt swallow any of it. For dogs to get shoes and cloths and toys is common but ceramic elephants and pictures and crap like that? This wasnt all the same occasion either. The problem is we werent watching them close enough. Daina spends most of her time in the bedroom in one end of the house and I am in the computer room in the other end of the house and the dogs get into crap in the living room in the center of the house Dillan and Pebbles and the two best dogs I have most of the time and Dillan is the one Im trying to find a home for. Go figure.

Hmmm... I don't think those things are necessarily attention seeking behavior. You have to remember that dogs are a lot like 3-5 year old children, the only difference is they STAY like that until they die. Unlike children they don't grow up, they don't always learn right from wrong, and communication with dogs is much harder than with kids Attention seeking behavior that is unpleasent is usually something like barking AT you or whinning, nudging at you, pawing at you, or stealing things you're using and running away with them (Linkin use to steal any blanket I had with me on the couch and run away SO darn proud of himself : . It really does sound like you've just got a bunch of young dogs who get bored easily and are looking for ways to entertain themselves. Never underestimate the power of a stuffed Kong There's stuffed kong recipes here: Never Underestimate the Power of a Stuffed Kong
