Remember, this is a list for equipment you will need during a search; not for training. For training you should bring the bare necessities such as a harness, long line, regular lead and training collar, articles, flags/markers, radios, pleanty of water and dishes required for both you and your dog, and a snack for yourself if necessary. Equipment Needed For Tracking: - Water for handler and dog
- fold up water dish for dog
- map and compass
- radio and batteries
- flashlight with spare bulbs and batteries
- head lamp
- bell or orange vest on dog
- cold light stick
- bug repellent for handler and dog
- set of extra clothing
- supplies to build a fire (water proof matches)
- first aid kit for handler and dog
- leathermen
- survayers flagging (to mark evidence)
- bags/envelopes for evidence
- comfy, good packsack or cruisers vest
- flares
- sleeping bag
- "survival pack"
- survival book (what you can and can't eat)
- "survival saw"
- ball or toy to play with dog
- notebook and pen
