CKC Tracking Test Rules & Regulations January 1st, 2007 10 Standards for Tracking Tests10.1 Tracking Test Grounds10.1.1 The tracking test grounds will be determined by the Tracking Test Committee with individual testing areas set aside for each dog entered. 10.1.2 The Tracking Test Committee shall try to keep livestock off the actual tracking area during the hours of the test. 10.1.3 The stewards shall keep each exhibitor from observing his allotted track while it is being laid. Failure of the exhibitor to cooporate with the steward will constitute strong grounds for the judge to mark his dog disqualified. 10.1.4 The judge shall strive to make the track in each class, equal as to length, age and number of turns or degrees of difficulty. 10.1.5 Urban tracking tests require areas such as office parks, industrial parks, campuses, schools etc. Approximately 1/3 of each UTD Track and 1/3 to fi UTDX Track requires non-vegetated surfaces such as gravel, dirt, sand, mulch, brick, concrete or asphalt. 10.1.6 The Tracking Representative for the zone in which the Tracking Test is being held may be present as an observer, on the day of plotting. continue to...Collars & Protective GearEquipment & Tracks Judges On The Track Water The Tracking Dog Test (TD) The Tracking Dog Excellent Test (TDX) The Urban Tracking Dog Test (UTD) The Urban Tracking Dog Excellent Test (UTDX) Disqualifications End of Test

10.2 Collars & Protective Gear
10.2.1 The use of prong or pinch collars will not be allowed on the test grounds.
10.2.2 Protective gear may be worn by the dog on the track, provided such equipment is inspected by the judge prior to being put on the dog at the start.
